William "Tom" Thomas Kuhn, age 79, died September, 17, 2025 in Tyler, Texas. He was born March 3, 1946 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Thomas Deforest Kuhn and Alice Peery Kuhn. He was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, graduated from Edison High School and then went to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in Miami, Oklahoma. Tom later joined the US Navy and became Fireman, ICFN while stationed on the USS Dixie, a supply & repair ship during the Vietnam war.
He was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed all things Scouting, including serving as Scoutmaster and Scout Commissioner. Tom loved RVing across the USA and was addicted to watching trains along the way. He would tell stories of his tour bus driving trips throughout multiple states and loved making people laugh and talking to them about life.
Preceded in death by his parents: Thomas D. Kuhn and Alice M. Kuhn
Survived by his wife of 55 years, Loretta Lane Kuhn; son, Jeffrey Thomas Kuhn; daughter-in-law, Deborah Ann Marie Gonzales of Euless, Texas; grandsons, Jeffrey Hunter Kuhn, Christian Gabriel Gonzales, Thomas Hayden Kuhn, Dominic Antonio Dominguez, Matthew Miguel Gonzales, Rex Hudson Kuhn, and Ryan Rafael Gonzales.
Sunset Graveside Service, 6:00 PM, Monday, September 29, 2025 at Rose Lawn Cemetery, 2003 Blue Mountain Boulevard, Tyler, Texas 75703 with Pastor Phillip Dillion officiating.
