William Thomas Burdett

William "Bill" Thomas Burdett, 81, passed away on September 15, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. Born August 3, 1945, in Richmond, Indiana, Bill worked as a tool and die maker and was known for his strong work ethic and determination.

He married the love of his life, Joan Lorraine "Joni" (Dinsmore) Burdett, on August 14, 1964, and together they built a family he cherished deeply.

Bill enjoyed playing musical instruments, especially the guitar, and loved singing old-school country and rock and roll. Family was at the center of his life, and he was loving and protective of those he called his own. He also enjoyed keeping up with the news, working with his hands, and watching wrestling.

Bill is survived by Joni; his daughters, Catherine "Cathy" DeVries and DeAnna McNeil; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many other family members and friends who will carry his memory forward.
