Stephen Wesley Keene

Stephen Wesley Keene aged 79, of Flint, Texas, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at his home. He was born October 3, 1946, in Tarboro, North Carolina to the parents, Lonnie Beecher Keene and Mary Leatrice Keene. Stephen was raised in Tarboro, N.C. and attended school at Tarboro High. Stephen enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the military for two years then was employed in sales and distribution for most of his life.

Stephen enjoyed playing golf, among other sports. He had an outgoing personality and loved to talk and would talk with anyone. He loved his dogs Emp and Prissy. He had a taste for seafood and loved to eat.

Stephen was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Keene; father, Lonnie Beecher Keene Jr; mother, Mary Leatrice Keene; and his two half-sisters, Paula and Teresa Pulley.

He is survived by his sister, Sue Carter; nephew, Kevin Carter and wife, Angela Carter; nephew, Chris Carter and his wife, Risa Carter; and his grand nephews and nieces, Kirsten Picariello and husband, Anthony Picariello, Sebastian Carter, Ashton Carter and Devon Carter.
