Russell "Rusty" Stone

Memorial Service for Russell "Rusty" Walker Stone, 53, of LaRue, Texas will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Corinth Missionary Baptist Church, Bullard, Texas.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Russell was born on November 1, 1971 in Sulphur Springs, Texas, to Brian and Brenda Stone. He went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. He grew up in Tyler, Texas, and was a 1990 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School. After graduation, Russell began working for Coca Cola Bottling Company, having a successful career for over a decade. However, his real passion and lifelong interest was classic cars, particularly Camaros. After many years of dedication and hard work, Russell's dream of owning his own business became a reality. Stone's Auto Works thrived for over twenty years. Russell was a kind, generous man to everyone he met, always willing to help anyone in need. His easy-going manner and infectious laugh will be missed. He was a devoted husband to Stacy and loving father to his three children.

Russell is survived by his wife, Stacy, three children; Dr. Colby Stone, Kaitlynn Stone, and Summer Wright (Zack); father, Brian Stone (Connie); mother, Brenda Stone; brother, Wesley Stone (Toshia), and grandchildren, Greyson Stone, Kinsley Miller and Gracie Freeman.

He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents: Wanda and Jim Fletcher, Charles and Mary-Lou Stone.

Russell will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.
