R. David Power, 71, of El Dorado, Arkansas, passed away on May 7, 2026. Born on July 14, 1954, David lived a life centered around family, love, laughter, and the people he cared for most.
David was a devoted husband to his wife, Carla Power, and a loving father whose greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his son, Carmant Desai, and his daughter, Justina Power. He was preceded in death by his son Paul Power.
David was also a proud grandfather to his five grandchildren: Chayce, Zander, Aria, Dawn, and Elara. His love for them was immeasurable, and they brought endless joy to his life.
He is also survived by his loving mother Janice Power, his brother Mike Power and his sister Paula Power, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
To know David was to know kindness, strength, and warmth. He had a way of making people feel welcome the moment they met him, and he could brighten up any party with his humor, personality, and unforgettable presence. Whether sharing stories, making others laugh, or simply being surround by the people his loved, David brought light and joy wherever he went.
David found happiness in life's special moments - especially spending time on the golf course and taking cruises with family and friends. Those memories will forever be treasured by everyone who knew him.
David's love for his family was unwavering, and the legacy he leaves behind is one of loyalty, compassion, laughter, and devotion. Though hearts are broken by his passing, his family finds comfort in the memories he created and the love he gave so freely throughout his life.
A celebration of David's life will be held on May 30, 2026 at 3:00pm at 302 Clemson Dr. Tyler, TX 75703, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and the joy he brought to so many lives.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
