Born on July 23, 1955, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to Edward Francis and Delores Alma Lazarek, Paul grew up in Benicia, California, and later made meaningful homes in Grand Prairie, Texas, Douglasville, Georgia, and finally Bullard. He never met a stranger-his open heart and infectious joy made friends wherever he went, leaving a lasting impact on countless people through his generosity, humor, and unwavering positivity.
Paul dedicated 44 years to a distinguished career at Owens Corning, rising through various leadership roles and retiring in 2020 as Plant Leader in Atlanta, Georgia. He took great pride in his work and the teams he led, always approaching challenges with optimism and integrity.
Above all, Paul cherished his family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother whose love knew no bounds. An avid traveler, golfer, fisherman, and reader, he found joy in life's simple pleasures-whether casting a line on the water, teeing off on a sunny course, exploring new places with friends and loved ones, or losing himself in a good book.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Delores; his sister Mary; and his sister Lori.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife of many years, Debi Lazarek; his son, Chris Lazarek, and daughter-in-law, Allyson; his cherished grandchildren, Carter (8) and Adalynn (5), who brought endless light to his days; his brothers, Edward (Rene) and Frank (Laura); and his sister, Barbara (Don).
A Celebration of Life to honor Paul's extraordinary life will be held at a future date to be announced.
