Kay Ann Becker-Pykonen (Piper), 70, of Bullard, Texas, passed peacefully at home on January 20, 2026. She was born on October 4, 1955, in Hastings, Michigan, to Raymond and Lucille Piper.

Above all else, Kay loved her family fiercely and without condition, especially her children, Kimberly (Anthony), Jeremy, and Marcie (Sean, Dale), along with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were her greatest pride, her heart, and her constant joy.

Kay was fierce, resilient, and full of life. She had a quick wit, a playful spirit, and a mischievous streak, and she loved nothing more than making people laugh, even on the hardest days.

She found happiness in life's simple pleasures: a cold Coca-Cola, traveling, live music, Lake Michigan, plants and gardening, woodworking and refinishing, a lively game of bingo, cribbage, cards, or dice, and time spent with her beloved fur baby, Hemi, who was rarely far from her side.

Her laughter was contagious, her presence comforting, and her love unforgettable.

Kay is survived by her brothers Dale, Gary, Mike, Kenny, and Carl, as well as her many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her brother Duane and her parents, Raymond and Lucille Piper. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her humor, warmth, and love live on in the countless smiles she brought to others.

A celebration of Kay's life will be held later this year, when family and friends can come together to share memories and laughter.
