James "Jim" Wallace

James Bert Wallace, 76, died Tuesday, August 12, 2025 in Tyler, Texas. Jim was born January 19th, 1949 in Lubbock, Texas to Ernest Ralph Wallace and Hazel Marie (Dosch) Wallace. He was raised in South Texas before moving to Irving where he graduated from MacArthur High School in 1967. He then attended UT Arlington where he met his wife Barbara.

After college he joined his father working at ER Wallace & Associates. Later he and Barbara moved to Tyler where he eventually started Wallace Business Systems. Jim loved to work whether that was going to work, working in the yard, or working on a project. He loved spending time with his family. He loved reading, especially anything historical, and playing poker with friends.

Jim is preceded in death by his son John Wallace, his parents Ernest Ralph Wallace and Hazel Wallace and his sister Susan Wallace.

Jim is survived by his wife Barbara Wallace, his daughter Jaime Wallace, daughter Jennifer White and son-in-law Taylor White, son Stephen Wallace and daughter-in-law Carey Wallace. Grandchildren Amelia White, Genevieve White, Wilder White, John Dylan Wallace and Andrew Wallace. Brothers Thomas Wallace and Dan Wallace.
