Irene ("Renie") Arias Honermann was born and raised in Paramount, California. She graduated from Lady of Our Rosary Catholic School and made her home in Southern California during her early years.

On May 22, 1971, Renie began her lifelong journey with her adoring husband, Gene Honermann. They welcomed their beloved daughter, Gina Paige, in December 1973.

In 1977, they headed to Pittsburgh-a big leap for a Southern California girl who preferred sunshine to snow. Not long after, Gene's work whisked them to Humble, Texas, in 1979. In 1984, they returned briefly to sunny Southern California, then settled back in Texas in 1985, making North Texas home for the next 35 years. Along the way they collected dear friends and memories in Colleyville, Las Colinas, and Coppell. In 2019, Renie and Gene made one last move to Emerald Bay in East Texas.

Over the years, Renie wore several hats-raising her daughter, office manager and proud owner of a fulfillment business in Lewisville. She was creative and gifted: she designed dozens of custom necklaces, bracelets, and earrings; hand-stitched two king-size quilts; crafted two baby quilts for her "future" great-grandchildren; and embroidered hundreds of dish towels and pillowcases for family and friends. She was also an avid reader-often finishing a book a week. Renie loved to shop, she never met a piece of silver jewelry, a pair of cute shoes, or something for the house that she didn't have to buy!

Renie was gracious, patient, and giving. Her bright smile, genuine heart, and spunky spirit turned strangers into friends. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Following several months of illness, Renie received a diagnosis of multiple myeloma and amyloidosis on September 24, 2025.

Renie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years, Gene; her daughter, Gina, and son-in-law, Aaron Garinger, of Flower Mound, TX; grandchildren, Peyton Honermann, Kennedy Garinger, and Jackson Garinger; sisters, Mary Honaker, Josephine Arias, and Delores Calcagno (Michael); brothers, Richard Arias (Maureen) and James Arias (Michelle); sister-in-law, Carole Shorter (Don); and brothers-in-law, Daniel Honermann (Marilyn), Roy Honermann (Karen), Richard Honermann (Diane), and Timothy Honermann (Judy).

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Guadelupe Arias; sisters, Helen Arias and Carolyn Patino-Arias; brothers, Robert Arias, Raymond Arias, and Manuel Arias; parents-in-law, Leroy and Regina Honermann; sister-in-law, Barbara Honermann-Roetzel; brothers-in-law, Douglas Honermann and Daryl Roetzel; nieces, Montana Honermann and Mya Sneller; and many cherished relatives.

Renie's life was defined by devotion to family and friends, her strength, and unfailing love. Her spirit will continue to guide those who knew her, and she will be deeply missed-forever held in our hearts.

Whenever you spot a little sports car with a big attitude, a room painted in bright, bold color, or jewelry that sparkles from across the room-think of Renie, and smile.

"Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories."
