Gary Donald Fain Jr., age 74, passed away on May 29, 2026, in Tyler, Texas. Gary was born on July 22, 1951, in Abilene, Texas, to Gary Donald Fain Sr. and Barbara Nan Fain. He was raised in Tyler, where he graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1969, additionally he received his associates degree from Tyler Junior College. As the owner of Fain Construction, he built many custom homes in East Texas. He married Kathleen Swift in June of 1974, and together they shared a loving marriage of 52 years filled with love, family, and cherished memories.
A home builder by trade, he spent his career creating more than homes; he built relationships, communities, and lifelong friendships. He was deeply loved by all who knew him. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on in the homes he built, the friendships he made, and the family he loved so deeply.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Nan and Don Fain.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Fain, as well as his sons, Jesse (Amy) Fain and Micah (Kristen) Fain; his daughters, Alison (Anwar) Nahhas, Lacy (Brandon) Sanders, and Caitlin Fain; Additionally, he is survived by his nine grandchildren: Jonah Fain, Adelyn Nahhas, Annabelle Nahhas, Ryder Fain, Mayson Grace Fain, Haley Sanders, Bryce Sanders, Lyla Dupas, and Beau Dupas.
Celebration Of Life will be held Friday, July 10, 2026 10 A.M. at The Church Of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints Bullard located at 23000 Robert Walker Road Bullard, TX, 75757 under the direction of Brosang Family Funeral & Cremation Services, with Bishop Byron Link officiating.
