In Loving Memory of
Gary Lynn Brombaugh Jr.
April 15, 1964 - August 8, 2025
Well, folks... it finally happened.
After surviving more heart attacks and strokes than most people have birthdays, I've cashed in my chips and gone to the big fishing hole with Jesus in Heaven.
I was born April 15, 1964, in Keosauqua, Iowa, to Thelma Claudine Vandergriff and Gary Lynn Brombaugh Sr., and grew up in Pomona, California, where I learned how to fish, crack jokes, and talk my way out of trouble. Later in life, I found my true calling as a professional magician, amazing audiences with sleight of hand and the occasional tall fishing tale.
I loved video games, bass fishing, baseball, and boxing. I spoke my mind, never sugarcoated a thing, and kept people laughing, enjoyed flirting and poking the ladies with my cane. My favorite color was blue, in case the afterlife lets you customize your robe.
Preceded in Death
By my father, Gary Lynn Brombaugh Sr.; my mother, Thelma Claudine Vandergriff; and my sister, Sharman Wilson.
Survived By
My ex-wife, Catherine DeVries, and our four children:
William Brombaugh (wife Kayla) - three sons & one daughter
Roy Brombaugh (wife Kim) - three sons
Katrina Young (husband Robert) - four sons
Desiree Brombaugh - one son & three daughters
Also, my brother, Darrell Westcott; my stepbrother, Darryl Combee; countless friends; loyal fans; and people still trying to figure out that one card trick I never explained.
