Diane Elizabeth Carnes

A Memorial Service for Diane Carnes, 59, of Tyler, Texas, will be held 4:00 PM, Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Marvin Methodist Church, 300 W. Erwin St., Tyler, 75702 with Dr. Doug Baker and Jay Ferguson officiating. A Visitation will be at 2:00 PM before the service at Marvin Methodist under the direction of Brosang Family Funeral & Cremation Services.

Mrs. Carnes was born December 2, 1965, in Tyler to Gordon Reed and Shirley Lancaster Reed and passed away Friday, May 30, 2025.

Diane was a member of Marvin Methodist Church, Junior League of Tyler and Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She graduated from Baylor University with a degree in education and obtained her Masters in School Counseling from Stephen F. Austin State University. She retired from Tyler ISD in 2023 after 34 years of working as a coach, teacher and counselor. She most recently held the position of Director of College and Career and School Counselor at Grace Community School.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Shirley Reed.

She is survived by her loving family including, Craig Carnes, Case Carnes (29), and Claire Carnes (26).
