Debra Lee Kaufmann

Debra "Debbie" Lee Kaufmann, age 72, passed away September 11, 2026. Debbie was born October 23, 1953, in Houston, Texas, to Jack and Russie Faye Britton. She was raised in Houston, Texas. She married Ronald Kaufmann in 1979, sharing 22 years of marriage before his passing at age 48 in 2001. At an early age, she was led to Christ by her grandmother, Annie Mae Kirsche.

She faithfully served as organist and pianist at First Baptist Church Huffman while living in Crosby, Texas, and later continued her music ministry at First Baptist Church Humble. Growing up, she enjoyed traveling and camping at state parks with her family. She was also passionate about music, teaching piano to many students during her years in Humble.

A dedicated student of Holy Scripture, she eventually taught the Bible herself. Her kindness and humble spirit marked her character and testified to her devotion to Christ. Debbie was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Kaufmann, and her parents, Jack and Russie Faye Britton.

She is survived by her son, Michael Kaufmann, and his wife, Brittney, and her two beloved grandchildren, Luke and Evelyn. A memorial service will be held (information will be input by funeral home once available) under the direction of Brosang Family Funeral & Cremation Services.
