Debbie Morphis

Deborah Ann Morphis, "Debbie", was called to Heaven on Saturday, August 30, 2025 in Tyler, Texas at the age of 69. She was born October 21, 1955 in Tyler to Preston Dingler, and Naomi (Young) Dingler.

Her kind and gentle heart was a gift to the world. Throughout her life, she displayed a selfless calling to care for the needs of others—including her family, friends, and neighbors.

The garden was her special place. The joys of tending to her plants and flowers—eagerly waiting to see how her garden would evolve with the seasons—brought excitement and fulfillment. Her nurturing spirit and tender hands helped the neediest of plants flourish. She loved all animals, and they loved her back. Whether it was her dearly beloved dogs, the neighborhood Shetland pony, or the sweet cats that called her porch home—they all sensed her kindness and gravitated to her.

She had a gift for making everyone feel truly special and loved. From her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to friends, coworkers, and her Macy’s customers—each person who knew her was touched by the countless little ways she showed her care.

She will be missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Naomi Dingler, and her parents-in-law, N.A. and Margaret Morphis.

Her beautiful memory will be forever cherished by her family: her husband of 54 years, Buddy Ray Morphis; daughters, Leah Rivera (husband Ruben) and Laura Garvey (husband John); granddaughters Claire Price (husband Joseph and great-grandsons Wyatt, Tucker and Brooks), Abby Garvey, Hannah Garvey, and Zoe Rivera; brother Jimmy Dingler (wife Ann), and sisters-in-law Sharon Fuller (husband Larry) and Janet McDade (husband Mike).

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Rose Lawn Cemetery, 2003 Blue Mountain Boulevard, Tyler, Texas 75703, directed by Brosang Family Funeral & Cremation Services.
