Cougar James Wright

Cougar James Wright, age 34, passed away on September 15, 2026, in Flint, Texas. Cougar was born May 29, 1992, in San Marcos, Texas, to Robert Embry Wright and Sally Celeste Edmonds. He was raised in Comal County and graduated from Canyon High School in 2010. He went on to be a loving father, brother, and son. For most of his adult life, he worked as a fabricator in the window industry.

He enjoyed video games, anime, DC Comics, the Houston Texans, rock music, and, most of all, time spent with his daughter, Lilah.

Cougar was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, "Nannie" Lola Marie Maroney.

He is survived by his daughter, Lilah Wright, and her mother, Meagan Farris; parents, Sally and husband Ronnie Edmonds, and Robert Embry Wright; sisters, Karen and husband Daniel Leone, Maggie and husband Brendon Walker, and Jeri Jean and husband James Russell; brothers, Dustin Wright and wife Summer Skyes, Joseph Edmonds, and Ronnie Jr. and wife Melissa Edmonds; paternal grandparents, James Robert and Laurel Wright; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
