Annamary was born in Boston, Massachusetts . She graduated with a Masters degree in Education from Plymouth State University and obtained her Ph. D. in Curriculum and Instruction, Language and Literacy from the University of Texas at Austin. She taught Middle and High School students in Texas and most recently undergraduate, Masters and Ph.D. students at the University of Texas at Tyler.
She is survived by her husband, Carmine; her son, Alexander; his wife, Lauren and two grandchildren, Leo and Ila.
