Alexandrya Jennifer Bailey, 21, of Tyler, Texas, passed away on December 9, 2025. She was born on November 10, 2004, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Alex impacted others with her humor, strength, curiosity, sarcastic wit, and silly antics. She had a heart for animals—taking in stray cats, adoring the family pups, and helping injured animals find recovery. Her compassion extended beyond words, expressed through quiet acts of care.

Alex loved to express herself through her art; it was not only one of her talents, but something she genuinely cherished. She gave gifts of love through her art, sharing pieces of herself and, in small but meaningful ways, showing others how deeply she cared. She brought her artistic spirit to life through her distinctive fashion sense, expressive makeup, and beautifully crafted nail designs. She wore her creativity as an extension of herself.

Those who knew her will remember her for her passion for what mattered to her, including the LGBTQ+ community and Pride events. Many still associate rainbows with Alex, seeing them as a reflection of how she expressed her connection to the community she cared for.

Growing up, Alex treasured books and was known as something of a “book dragon.” She would often sit for hours reading in the quiet comfort of her room. In middle school, she became known as “galaxy girl” due to the galaxy sweatshirts she favored. Her youth was a time of testing boundaries, offering wit and sarcasm in equal measure, and finding clarity in what truly mattered to her heart.

Alex was deeply loved, and her life held meaning, depth, and promise. She had only begun her journey and was learning to see life in her own special way while gaining a better understanding of others and the world around her. She will be missed beyond words by family and friends. The world lost a beautiful soul and will be the lesser for it.

She is survived by her parents, Adam and Danielle Bailey; sister Elizabeth Bailey; bonus mom Becca Bailey; aunt and bonus mom Micah Bailey; aunt Erin Bailey; uncle Doug Dickerson; cousin Delaney Bailey; grandparents DeAnn and Doran Fox; papa and nana Joe and Cynthia Schulz; grandma Misty O’Keefe; aunt Allison Bailey; cousin Summer; cousin Avery; uncle Trevor Saiz; and cousin Gavin Saiz, all of whom loved her deeply.

She was also survived by Krystyn Bailey, Kat Perschon, and Bijan Hosseini.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Please see Alex’s memorial Facebook page for details over the next few months. We want to wait until we can celebrate her life rather than mourn. Link
